Toshiba is a multi-billion corporation that is known
for its 3D TV as well as for chrome book and 3D Flash Memories, this company
was formed as the result of the corporate merger in 1939. Tokyo Denki (Tokyo Electric) - the first
manufacturer of electric lamps in Japan and Shibaura Seisakush (Shibaura
Engineering Works), which was the first Japanese telegraph equipments producer
founded in 1875 by rangaku ("Western learning") scholar Tanaka
Hisashige, - joined together into Tokyo Shibaura Denki (Tokyo Shibaura
Electric) company, which long name was soon shortened to Toshiba by its own
consumers.
Triceratops is a herbivorous dinosaur of very
peculiar exterior, the most distinctive features of which is an
in-proportionally large skull armed by 3.77-feet-long horns. Actually, it
appears as if it being artificially bio-engineered from DNA of two genetically
antagonistic species. However, in spite
of its misleadingly queer appearance, this great ceratopsid proved itself to be
extremely resilient and well adapted to its environment; this allowed
Triceratops to become one of the most evolutionary successful species on Earth.
The company of Toshiba as founded 141 years ago,
looks much like 68 million years old two horned dinosaur, despite its age and
its cumbersome corporate structure, has, nevertheless, demonstrated excellent
survival capacities which allow it to compete with mobile tech-mammals in the
new epoch of internet explosion.
We can only wish that this ground-shifting case as
one of Toshiba's multiple non-core subsidiaries - nuclear power stations
constructor Westinghouse Electric Company - filling for chapter eleven
protection wouldn't result for Toshiba in an extinction event.
The Materials & Devices Division belongs to
Toshiba Corporation's Electronic Devices & Components Group. It's a
supplier of products worldwide and it focuses on electronic devices other than semiconductors
and storage and materials.
During aiming to get Toshiba's vision to create an ideal "Human
Smart Community" the Materials & Devices Division is going to confront
the issues that should be considered globally by carrying out improvement of
materials and devices that support each of the fields of "energy"
"storage" and "healthcare" which form the pillars of the Groups'
business. Moreover, by supplying a lot of devices, materials and services
worldwide, the Division is going to continue to improve key components that
will allow the creation of the new values in customer's products. We shall place importance on dialog with
customers more often and propose devices, materials and solutions that match
customer's needs to a timely manner. By these ways, the Division is going to
continue to strive for the establishment of a safe and comfortable future
society.

Dell
The Dell Company of computer is one of the most
successful stories of the 20th century. The company started in 1984 by a
college student called Michael Dell, and then it rose to become one for the
computer giants in the 21st century. To be able to understand the reason that
makes Dell so great, you will need to understand the power of Dell's mission Statement;
you will need also to understand its history, growth and entrepreneurial
founder Michael Dell.
Michael Dell and the Birth of a Computer Empire
Michael Dell was a college student at University of
Texas, when he invented Dell in his off-campus dormitory room.
His goal was to sell IBM PC- compatible computers
built from stock components.
Michael Dell started his trade believing that by
selling personal computer systems directly to customers; PC's Limited (the
original name of the company) could better understand customer's needs and
provide the most effective computing solutions to answer those needs.
Michael leaved the study in the college to be able
to give his full focus-time to his fledging business after getting 1.000
dollars in expansion capital from his family.
Dell is one of the greatest dynamic technically
versed companies and it's currently the top suppliers of PCs in the entire
world. It provides a wide range of IT and network solutions to meet the needs
in every market, in home workstations and corporate storage servers to
everywhere in the world. The main types of computers that it sells are
individual workstations for corporations that provide employee means to fulfill
daily tasks like: Email, internet browsing, document and presentation creation,
file transfers, and other forms of communication functions. All these are considered to be systems that
utilize the IT infrastructure of their company. Dell also provides cheap
infrastructure solutions like Intel bases servers and networking switches.
Many companies sell the same products and services
that Dell does, but what characterizes Dell is that it has perfect
implementation of a customer direct business strategy. Dell sums this up the best with a quote from
its website.
Is the Company Effectively Postured for
the Future?
The answer is
Yes, the company is effectively postured for the future because it's placed on
such an expandable structure which is going to allow to change in any
direction, maintaining its competitive advantage over companies in the
industries. Its customer direct bussiness model is going to continue to be the
most dominating strategy in the PC market and as long as Dell works to keep the
strategy more effective as possible, Dell shall never be beat out. The major
competition in the industry follows the strategy of direct business, and only
one time will tell whether or no Dell can withstand the pressure.
To sum up, Dell has proven that it has a capable
senior management that is extremely successful in organizing the Dell make
business through virtual integration of its partners. The vision for the next few years looks
prosperous both financially and in growth.

Dell has recruited more than 78.000 people worldwide;
this is five times as many people as there are employed at the University of
Texas, the birthplace of the company.
A Look at Inventor Michael Dell
After less than a decade, Michael Dell sold personal
computers from his dorm room, thus he became the youngest CEO to head a fortune
500 company when Dell was first included in 1992 on the list.
By 2012 Dell was omitted from the list of Fortune 500 when the company
was taken private and stopped making official earnings figures available to the
public or the Fortune 500 list-makers.
By 2004, Michael left his position as CEO and
directed his attention towards the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. And he
returened back as CEO of Dell in 2007.
The family home of Dell is Austin, Texas is reported
to be the 15th biggest home in the world; it contains eight bedrooms, 21
bathrooms, a conference room, a gym and a total of 22.000 square feet nettled
on 60 acres.
Dell Computers and its Online Store
Seven months after its online launch in 1996,
Dell.com set the bar high when it sold 1$ million per day of equipment. And by 2007, Dell.com has become number four
largest US e-commerce site, with 4.2$ billion in sales. In 2016, Dell claims it was the "largest
e-commerce website for commercial technology products in the world."
And by 2017, Dell came to be the third in the
worldwide market share shipping 40.7 million worth of product for the calendar

The Company's Traditional and Digital
Marketing Strategies
The focus of Dell started to be on E-commerce by the
year 2010, and social media strategies in order to reach loyalty and potential
customers with many types of marketing strategies. The marketing effort worked. When the company
started a marketing campaign about one mobile phone, this campaign received a
better response rate in four hours than a comparable direct mail campaign had received
in 30 days. Dell also reported that it earned over 1$ million in revenue by
transmitting messages about sales and discounts to its twitter followers.
Famous Quotes by Michael Dell
It's through curiosity and looking at opportunities
in new ways that we've always mapped our path at Dell. There's always an
opportunity to make a difference.
Well, we started the company by building to the
customer's order...We didn't do it because we saw some massive paradigm in the
future. Basically, we just didn't have any capital.
Sometimes you just have to belly up to the bar and
take a chance. We made some mistakes, but we also had the strength to work our
way out.
It's customers that made Dell great in the first
place...If we're smart enough and quick enough to listen to customer needs,
we'll succeed.
There are more than 32,100 employees people recruited in the Asia-Pacific region. Manufacturing facilities are in Malaysia, India, and China. Regional offices are in 13 countries.

This Dell XPS 13 Core i5 (Z560036SIN9) laptop comes
with Intel Core i5-6200U processor with 2.3GHz speed, 3MB cache, 8GB RAM and
256GB (SSD) drive. It has a 13.3 inch Full HD LED Backlit screen panel with a
resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The laptop has interfaces like 3 USB ports, Bluetooth,
wifi, web camera, speakers. It comes with Windows 10 Home OS and Intel HD 520

What are the differences between a
Toshiba laptop and a Dell laptop?
Casings. the casings for a Dell laptop are
incompatible with the casings for a Toshiba laptop. From the plastic around the
LCD panel, to the palm rest, to the bottom, to the plastic around the batteries… it's
hard to swap the screen bezel between the two products... and you might not be
able to swap the screen models from the same manufacturers. This is one of the
main differences between Dell and Toshiba.
Motherboard shape and design. It's also difficult to
place the motherboard of Dell into a Toshiba casing without doing more
modification and carrying the expectation that some connections won't be made
or possible. Same the other way around.
Toshiba now tends to favor Atheros WiFi cards, while
Dell uses either their own, or Broadcom or Intel.
Both companies have been known to put Toshiba hard
drives in their laptops… but both companies have also used other drive
manufacturers. Seems to be a “What’s in the Bin” kind of game.
Optical drives… another Bin choice… but more likely
they are both picking the same manufacturer. There is a limited number of commercial
optical drive manufacturers. They sell to the larger companies that brand them.
Key placement. Toshiba is used to be putting keys in
strange places. While Dell has been more traditional.
Ram. both companies use different brands.
The motherboard designs of both companies are
different, the component choices, placement of cooling assemblies, etc.
However, you can still find a Dell that is using specific CPU, Ram and speed
drive and it would be the same setup in Toshiba and both laptops would perform
about equally across the boards.
One Major difference.
Toshiba handles BIOS security much better. The two
companies regularly change the place of, and the marks around, the contact tha
can clear the BOIS password. Dell uses a challenge response system. If you call
Dell and pay a $50 Off Warranty fee, they will give you the response to the
code you get when you enter the wrong BIOS password three times.
But for Toshiba, if you don't know where the contact
is to clear the BOIS, you have to return it to the company it get the password
cleared for you. After you get this specific repair, their first step is to
contact the registered owner of the laptop. When I worked in a small shop, it
happened twice that different stolen Toshiba Laptops got back to their owners
this way.
